Studying homeless mortality means obtaining data on mortality for the subpopulation of people experiencing homelessness. In theory, this could be done in two different ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Extracting data on people experiencing homelessness from the general death register; and\/or<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Using a database on people experiencing homelessness and searching for deaths.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
      <\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      However, the problem is that the death register does not include homelessness status and homelessness databases do not record deaths. Linking different registers could be a solution. We look at data sources that have been used in different contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      2. Wykorzystanie bazy danych os\u00f3b do\u015bwiadczaj\u0105cych bezdomno\u015bci i wyszukiwanie zgon\u00f3w.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Problem polega jednak na tym, \u017ce rejestr zgon\u00f3w nie uwzgl\u0119dnia statusu bezdomno\u015bci, natomiast bazy danych os\u00f3b do\u015bwiadczaj\u0105cych bezdomno\u015bci nie rejestruj\u0105 zgon\u00f3w. Rozwi\u0105zaniem mo\u017ce by\u0107 \u0142\u0105czenie r\u00f3\u017cnych rejestr\u00f3w.
