The conference on systemic housing solutions was organised by Minister Adriana Porowska and took place on 3 February 2026 at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Funds and Regional Policy, Development and Technology, and Family, Labour and Social Policy, as well as local governments, non-governmental organisations and the Office of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights. There was talk of seniors, people with disabilities, and people experiencing homelessness. Creating policy at the national level, operating with legal provisions, and talking about billions of zlotys often seemed far removed from the direct experience of people with life experience, people working in organisations and local governments. How does deinstitutionalisation as a strategic goal relate to the needs of people with severe autism and a small non-governmental organisation running a home and care for them, struggling to patch up its budget with short-term projects? Although the panels discussed the ageing of society, the question was asked several times from the audience: why is no one from the Ministry of Health here? Alongside housing, medical assistance and healthcare are the most important areas for reducing inequalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
