The cold winter prompted the producers of Debata Radia dla Ciebie to organise a programme about the cold and the dangers associated with it. The programme was hosted by Robert \u0141uchniak, and the guests included Emilia Weso\u0142owska from Ambulans z Serca (Ambulance from the Heart), Magdalena Nowak from the Warsaw Municipal Police, and Magdalena Mostowska.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We discussed the immediate dangers posed by freezing temperatures, but also policies that would prevent street homelessness and, ultimately, deaths from hypothermia. Magdalena talked about the results of our project. We estimate that at least 1,300 people who have experienced homelessness die in Poland every year, most of them not in winter or from exposure.
